A question from a reader: This is not a Buckeye-bash question. If you don’t think they can win, give a FOOTBALL reason why. If you do, don’t rant about how you love OSU and suck on Pryor’s nuts. Keep it civil.

No, I don’t think they will, because Terrible Pryor doesn’t have the game to get it done. He doesn’t have Tim Tebow’s athletic ability.

They will win Big-10 Championships- which is good. A National Championship is possible, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

No I do not. I say this is because they are in the Big 10 and teams in the Big 10 generally don’t play good against other teams from other conferences. I’m a Michigan fan, so I’m not going to rant on how good OSU is, but they really aren’t that good and they won’t be good on the national stage until they have a major offensive and defensive overhaul, and that goes for the entire Big 10. I think Michigan started theirs with Rich Rod and I expect them to be able to compete at the national stage in the near future.

The 2010-11 season might be his best chance. By then Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy will be in the NFL and the top QB’s will probably be Pryor, whoever plays at USC, and John Brantley (backup to Tebow). But in all honesty, no I don’t think he’ll ever win one. Not as long as UF, USC, and Texas stay as good as they are.

Of what I have seen of Pryor so far, no. He just doesn’t read defenses well and he’s not a very accurate passer. But last year he was only a freshman, if he can improve his passing game, and continue to improve it during his college career, then I don’t see any reason why they can’t compete for a National Championship.
